Medal Madness 5K, 10K, & 13.1M at Piedmont, AL
This event takes place in Piedmont, Alabama, at 5960 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy. It offers three distance options:
- 5K
- 10K
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
Course layouts use short measured loops. The 5K and 10K share a loop listed as 0.78 miles; the out-and-back segment measures 1.56 miles, and the 5K completes that out-and-back twice while the 10K completes it four times. The half marathon course lists a 1.09 mile loop; the out-and-back segment measures 2.18 miles, and the half marathon completes that out-and-back six times.
Registration is only through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Registration fees are listed as $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $65 for the Half Marathon. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race. The event enforces a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
