About the race
Venecia's Foundation Crap Run is a running event in Piedmont, AL on October 3, 2026. The program includes an in-person 5K with multiple competition categories, a virtual 5K option, and a kids fun run for young participants.
Distances offered:
- 1 mile Kid Fun Run for participants aged 10 and under
- 5K Crap Run Traditional, in-person, chip timed
- 5K Crap Run Athena and Clydesdale divisions, in-person, chip timed
- 5K Virtual Crap Run, run any time and location
Registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026. To receive a race T-shirt, registration must be completed by September 20, 2026. For the virtual 5K shirts are shipped within the continental United States and shipping cost is included in the fee.
Timing and awards: in-person 5K races use bib chip timing. Awards are given to top finishers overall and within age or weight divisions; specific prize groupings differ by event category. Athena and Clydesdale divisions use self-declared weight thresholds and no pre-race weigh-in is required.
Logistics: the course uses city streets and the Ladiga Trail. Parking and restrooms are available on site. Strollers are permitted if participants start from the back of the field. The event proceeds regardless of weather and registration fees are nontransferable and nonrefundable in the event of cancellation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
