Event overview
The Medal Madness event takes place on June 6, 2026, at Piedmont Park in Piedmont, Alabama (5960 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). The event offers three race distances: a 5K, a 10K, and a Half Marathon (13.1 miles). All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race begins.
Courses and timing
The courses use repeated out-and-back loops:
- 5K : two repeats of a 1.56-mile out-and-back
- 10K : four repeats of a 1.56-mile out-and-back
- Half Marathon (13.1) : six repeats of a 2.18-mile out-and-back
The overall course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The event includes finisher medals and a shirt and gear shop. There is a best costume contest, series points, and awards as part of the event structure.
