Medal Madness at Piedmont
US Road Running organizes the Medal Madness event in Piedmont, Alabama, held at Piedmont Park. This athletic event offers three different distances on out-and-back courses. The event has a total time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all participants.
Participants can choose from the following course options:
- 5K: An out-and-back course completed two times.
- 10K: An out-and-back course completed four times.
- Half Marathon: An out-and-back course completed six times.
Registration is handled exclusively online; there is no option for on-site registration on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted at the event location starting 30 minutes before the start and closing 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the race.
Finishers receive a medal for completing their chosen distance. The event also features a best costume competition, and participants can earn points toward a series. Awards are presented based on race results. The race follows a multi-lap format on a specific out-and-back route designated for each distance category.
