Event details
The Medal Madness event takes place at Hickory City Park in Hickory, NC. The starting line is located across the street from the corner of 16th Ave Pl NW and 12th St Dr NW (1581 12th St Dr NW). Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race. Parking and restrooms are located at the Trailhead. All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. The event has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. All finishers receive a themed medal.

- 5K - out-and-back; 1.56M out-and-back repeated twice.
- Half Marathon - out-and-back; 2.18M out-and-back repeated six times.
The event takes a group photo at the beginning of each race. Wearing a costume is optional; a best costume award is given at the beginning. The race earns points toward the US Road Running Race Series and follows that series' awards and FAQ information. Enrollment and questions are handled through the event registration system.
