The Medal Madness 5K & Half Marathon takes place at Hickory City Park in Hickory, North Carolina on March 7, 2026. The starting line is located across the street from the corner of 16th Ave Pl NW and 12th St Dr NW, at 1581 12th St Dr NW, Hickory, NC 28601. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- Half Marathon
All runners must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration.
Course and race policies
Both the 5K and the half marathon use out-and-back courses. The 5K course is completed two times. The half marathon course is completed six times. The race has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
All finishers receive a themed finisher medal. Costumes are encouraged but not required; a group photo is taken at the beginning of each race and a best-costume award is presented at that time. The event awards points toward the US Road Running Race Series and follows the series award structure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
