Event overview
The Medal Madness 5K & 10K is scheduled for December 12, 2026, at Green Hills County Park in Raleigh, NC (9300 Deponie Dr, 27614). The event offers two race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. A packet pickup period is provided beginning 30 minutes before and ending 10 minutes before the race start. The event includes finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume category, series points, and awards. A contact form is available for questions.
Course and logistics
The course uses concrete surfaces and follows an out-and-back layout. A single out-and-back segment measures 0.78 miles (1.56 miles roundtrip). The 5K route repeats that out-and-back two times, and the 10K repeats it four times. The event enforces a 2:00 hour course time limit. The park gate opens before the event and parking is located at the playground on the north side of the park. Restroom facilities are available by the playground.
