5K9 Dog Jog - Cary, NC
The 5K9 Dog Jog is a community race and festival organized by Vets to Vets United, Inc. to support service dog training for Veterans. The event takes place on September 26, 2026 at the WakeMed Soccer Park Cross-Country Course in Cary, North Carolina.
The organization pairs Veterans with rescued shelter dogs and provides intensive training. It takes $25,000 to complete a single service dog training program, and 100% of event proceeds help cover those costs.
The course uses cross-country terrain with open rolling fields and wide natural trails. The route is described as dog friendly and suitable for participants accompanied by leashed dogs.
