14th Annual Know Hope 5K Walk/Run
The North Carolina Victim Assistance Network (NCVAN), a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving loved ones of homicide victims and others impacted by violent crime, hosts the 14th Annual Know Hope 5K Walk/Run: Remembering Victims of Homicide on September 26, 2026, at Lake Benson Park - Shelter 1 in Garner, North Carolina.
The event combines a certified, professionally timed in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option. It supports NCVAN's statewide services and provides opportunities for fundraising teams to form; team membership requires event registration. Virtual participants will receive a mailed shirt. The in-person 5K includes a t-shirt.
Registration details:
- Registration opens March 1, 2026.
- In-person 5K registration fee is $30 through August 31, 2026, and $35 from September 1, 2026.
- Virtual 5K registration fee is $30; virtual registration closes September 28, 2026.
Awards are given to Top Overall and to male and female age group winners in these categories: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. The course is a certified 5K around Lake Benson and White Deer Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
