Event Overview
The Gobbler 5K & 13.1M is a timed running event taking place at Green Hills County Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. Participants can choose between two primary distances, both held on a concrete surface. The event has a strict three-hour time limit for all participants. Registration must be completed in advance through the designated online platform, as there is no option for on-site registration.
Course Details
The races are conducted on out-and-back courses within the park. The loop for the shorter distance is based on a 0.78-mile segment, while the longer distance uses a 1.09-mile segment. Specific distances include:
- 5K - This course requires completing the 1.56-mile out-and-back loop twice.
- Half Marathon - This course requires completing the 2.18-mile out-and-back loop six times.
Facility and Logistics
The park gate opens one hour before the official start. Parking is available at the playground located on the north side of the park. Restroom facilities are also situated near the playground area for participant use. All finishers will receive a medal for their participation.
