Race Overview
The US Road Running event at Morgan's Point Resort in Temple, Texas, features a variety of paved running options through Crossroads Park. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, though club membership is not required for participation. The competition includes multiple distances held on established out-and-back routes.
Course Information
Participants run on paved surfaces throughout the park. The event utilizes two distinct course layouts depending on the chosen distance:
- 5K - One loop of the 3.11-mile out-and-back course.
- 10K - Two loops of the 3.11-mile out-and-back course.
- 13.1 Miles - Four loops of the 3.275-mile out-and-back course.
- 26.2 Miles - Eight loops of the 3.275-mile out-and-back course.
The event maintains a course time limit of six hours for all participants.
Event Logistics
Packet pickup is conducted on-site starting 30 minutes before the race begins. All participants must register in advance via RunSignup, as there is no registration available on the day of the event. On-site facilities include bathrooms located behind the tennis courts. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Crossroads Tennis Courts off Prairie View Road.
Awards and Recognition
All finishers receive a themed medal. In addition to performance-based categories, participants may choose to wear costumes to compete for a best costume award presented at the beginning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
