US Road Running - Huntersville
The US Road Running - Huntersville event takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina, on the Clark's Creek Greenway. This athletic event features three distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The race village is located at the Mallard Creek Playground, situated across from Mallard Creek Elementary School. All participants run on out-and-back courses. The 5K and 10K participants utilize a 3.11-mile out-and-back route, with the 5K completing it once and the 10K completing it twice. Those participating in the Half Marathon use a 3.28-mile out-and-back course, which they complete four times.
A time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all course distances. All finishers receive a themed medal upon completion of their race. Although not mandatory, the organizers encourage participants to wear costumes during the event.
The race is part of the US Road Running Race Series, allowing participants to earn points toward the series rankings. Registration must be completed in advance through the designated online platform, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted at the venue shortly before the start.
