Medal Madness 5K, 10K & 13.1M at Charlotte, NC
The event takes place at Mallard Creek Playground, located across from Mallard Creek Elementary School at 9729 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28267. It features three separate race distances on measured out-and-back courses and is part of the US Road Running series.
Distances
- 5K : out-and-back, one repetition, 3.11 miles total
- 10K : out-and-back, two repetitions
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) : out-and-back, four repetitions
Course details note that the shorter course loop measures about 3.11 miles and the half marathon loop measures about 3.28 miles, with the respective number of repeats producing each race distance. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies.
All entrants must register through RunSignup; on-site registration is not available. All finishers receive a themed finisher medal. Wearing a costume is optional and encouraged. The event earns points toward the US Road Running Race Series and includes awards as part of the series program.
