Medal Madness at Olympia
The US Road Running event in the historic district of Olympia, Washington, features multiple distance options held at Heritage Park. This recurring series provides a structured environment for runners to complete fixed-distance courses within a set time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Registration is conducted exclusively online through RunSignup, and no on-site registration is available on the day of the event. Packet pickup is scheduled to begin 30 minutes before the start and concludes 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the races.
The available distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The courses are designed as out-and-back loops. For the 5K and 10K events, participants utilize a 0.78-mile out-and-back segment (totaling 1.56 miles per lap). The 5K requires two completions of this out-and-back, while the 10K requires four. The Half Marathon uses a different segment, requiring participants to complete a 3.18-mile out-and-back course six times.
Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and an award for best costume is often recognized at the start of the event. All finishers receive a commemorative medal upon completion of their chosen distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
