About the race
The event is a ten mile road race held at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) with two categories: the Commanders Cup Ten Miler and an Open Ten Miler. The Commanders Cup serves as an Army Ten Miler qualifier and may provide a TDY opportunity to represent JBLM at the Army Ten Miler in Washington, DC on 11 October 2026. The course is an out and back route that is mainly flat with a few rolling hills. The Commanders Cup is limited to active duty service members assigned to JBLM who represent their company, flight, battalion, or squadron.
The Open Ten Miler is open to the wider JBLM community. There is no entry fee; the cost is listed as free. Preregistration closes on Wednesday 01 April 2026, with limited day of race registration available. Awards for the Commanders Cup will be given to the top three men and women in these age groups: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 and over.
Open Ten Miler awards will go to the top three overall male and female finishers. Race packet pickup and on site procedures are organized through base gates and event staff; specific pickup times and contact details are provided by the organizer.
