Pirate 5K, 10K, & 13.1M, Deer Park
This event offers three race distances on a single day: a 5K, a 10K, and a Half Marathon. All races start together at 8:00 AM from the large pavilion in Dow Park, located at 801 E P St in Deer Park, Texas.
The course is an out-and-back design. The 5K and 10K share a base segment of 0.78 miles. The 5K requires runners to complete this segment two times for a total of 1.56 miles. The 10K requires runners to complete the same segment four times. The Half Marathon uses a slightly different base segment of 1.09 miles, which runners complete six times for a total of 2.18 miles.
Registration is required online via RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race start. There is an overall course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The event is part of the US Road Running series, which features awards, finisher medals, a best costume contest, and a gear shop.
