Race Overview
The US Road Running event in Concord, North Carolina, offers a series of paved and shaded out-and-back races. The event center is located at the Dogwood Shelter within the park at 760 Orphanage Rd. Facilities include bathrooms located in the right corner of the parking lot near the entrance.
Participants can choose from three available distances:
- 5K: A single out-and-back loop totaling 3.11 miles.
- 10K: Two laps of the out-and-back course.
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon): Four laps of a dedicated 3.28-mile out-and-back course.
Course Details
The terrain is primarily paved but includes a specific section consisting of gravel and dirt. The course is notably shaded, providing cover from direct sunlight. All race distances are subject to a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Registration and Logistics
All participants must register through the RunSignup platform, as no on-site registration is provided on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted at the race location, starting 30 minutes before the run and concluding 10 minutes prior to the start. Finisher medals are awarded to those who complete their respective distances, and participants have the opportunity to compete for a best costume award.
