Give Hope 5K - Strides to End Homelessness
The Give Hope 5K takes place at Frank Liske Park in Concord, NC. The event is family focused and organized to raise funds and awareness for people who are homeless or food insecure in the local community. All proceeds will benefit those communities.
Event options include:
- 5K Walk/Run (timed; timing chip provided)
- Kids Fun Walk/Run (ages 13 and under; timed; prizes for top 3)
- Virtual 5K Walk/Run (timed; remote participation)
All in-person participants receive a timing chip for accurate results and for safety measures. Early registrants may receive an event T-shirt and a swag bag; T-shirts are guaranteed only for participants registered by July 24. Packet pickup is available on race day and onsite registration is accepted for cash and electronic payments. Light refreshments and water will be provided.
Awards include medals for the overall male and female top performers and age-group awards for 1st through 3rd places in the listed categories. There will be prizes for the top three kids in the fun run. An event raffle accepts a donation of five toiletry or non-perishable items for one ticket, or a $5 donation by cash or electronic payment for one ticket. The event will run rain or shine; no refunds are offered and organizers may modify or cancel the event for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
