Pirate 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
The Pirate event is a recurring race series held at Heritage Park in Camas, Washington. This event features three distinct distance options on out-and-back paved courses. All participants are required to register through the online platform, as there is no registration available on-site at the park. Packet pickup occurs on the morning of the event, beginning 30 minutes before the start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the race.
The courses are designed as loops that runners must complete multiple times depending on their chosen distance:
- 5K: This distance uses a 0.78-mile out-and-back course (1.56 miles total) completed twice.
- 10K: Participants follow the 0.78-mile out-and-back course four times.
- Half Marathon: This race uses a 1.09-mile out-and-back course (2.16 miles total) completed six times.
There is a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all distances. Finishers receive medals for completing their event. Participants are encouraged to take part in the themed atmosphere, as there is an award for the best costume. Overall series points are also awarded as part of the US Road Running series.
