Medal Madness 5K, 10K, 13.1M - Athens, GA
Medal Madness is a US Road Running event held on February 13, 2027, at the North Oconee River Greenway Trailhead at North Oconee Access Road in Athens, Georgia. The event offers multiple distances and is organized as a local road race.
US Road Running events are presented as friendly, low-pressure race days for both runners and walkers. The races are described as local and small enough to feel personal while providing official race elements such as a clear course, race staff, finisher medals, and published results. The event emphasizes a relaxed community atmosphere rather than large-scale race production.
On race day there are typically one or two staff members on site. Emergency medical services are not stationed at the event, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Participants are advised to plan for the weather, carry any items they may need between laps, and check in with race staff if assistance is required.
