The Urban Bourbon Half Marathon and 5K takes place in Louisville on October 17, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes these distances:

The half marathon starts and finishes in downtown Louisville and the course passes through the fall foliage of Cherokee Park. The event frames the run as a celebration of more than 200 years of Louisville and Kentucky distilling heritage.

Walkers are welcome but must maintain an 18-minute-per-mile pace. All in-person participants receive a long-sleeve shirt and a bourbon-themed finisher medal. Urban Bourbon Half Marathon registrants receive bourbon samples, beer, pizza, and soup as part of their entry. Urban Bourbon 5K participants may purchase a discounted wristband on race morning for access to the same food and beverage offerings for a fee.

Race weekend includes the Urban Bourbon Bash at Fourth Street Live, which features live music by the Louisville Crashers.
