Event
The Urban Bourbon Half Marathon and 5K takes place in Louisville, Ky., on October 17, 2026. Distances offered include:
- 13.1 miles - Urban Bourbon Half Marathon (in-person and virtual)
- 5K - Urban Bourbon 5K (in-person and virtual)
The half marathon starts and finishes in downtown Louisville, with the start line at Sixth Street and West Main Street. The course passes through Cherokee Park. Walkers are allowed but must maintain an 18-minute-per-mile pace.
Registration and features
All participants must be at least 21 years old on the event date to register. Published entry fees are $70 for the half marathon (including the virtual half) and $30 for the 5K (including the virtual 5K). All participants receive a long-sleeve shirt and a bourbon-themed finisher medal. Registered half marathon participants are invited to the Urban Bourbon Bash at Fourth Street Live!, which includes live music by the Louisville Crashers and bourbon samples, beer, pizza, and soup as part of the half marathon entry. 5K participants may purchase a discounted wristband for $20 to access the same offerings.
