Uplowman 10k

The Uplowman 10k is a road race organized by the Tiverton Harriers. Located approximately 5 miles east of Tiverton, the event is based at the Uplowman Village Hall, which serves as the race headquarters. The course consists of a single 10k loop on paved surfaces with a total elevation gain of approximately 100 meters.

The clockwise route begins on the playing field at the village hall before moving onto the roads. The first section includes a 3 km gradual descent heading west toward Tiverton. After crossing the river Lowman, participants enter a 2 km gradual climb through the hamlet of Craze Lowman and surrounding farmland. The course reaches its highest point after a water station located at the 5.5 km mark. The final stages feature a descent past local cottages and farms, followed by a return to the village center where the route encounters a few short, steep climbs. The race concludes with a final lap around the village hall playing field.

The event has a participation limit of 200 runners, and participants must be at least 15 years old. Race numbers are distributed on the day of the event. Facilities include free parking in a field opposite the village hall, while the hall parking lot is reserved for officials. The water station at 5.5 km provides drinks in recyclable cups.
