Unleashed at Stadium Bowl is a stair race and walk event at the Stadium Bowl in Tacoma, Washington. Participants move up one staircase and down the other to complete a lap. One lap includes 814 steps up and 814 steps down for a total of 1,628 steps. A two lap option doubles that total to 3,256 steps.
The event includes competitive timed runs and untimed walks. There are multiple event options with separate registration fees and registration periods. The Heroes Race requires participants to wear a weighted vest: 40 lb for male category and 20 lb for female category. A new vest is offered for purchase for $65. Registration fees for the listed events are $50 for the 1628 Steps and 3256 Steps events, and $40 for the Heroes Race.
Proceeds benefit Kindred Souls Foundation, which provides sanctuary and care for abandoned and neglected dogs and cats and offers education on animal companionship.
