Event overview
Santa Runs Tacoma takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, with all races starting and finishing in downtown Tacoma (815 Pacific Avenue). The event includes three distances:
- Half marathon - certified WA24005RMB, out-and-back along the waterfront and Ruston Way Path toward Point Ruston Waterwalk and Dune Peninsula Park, with a climb up the Wilson Way Bridge before returning to downtown.
- 10K - certified WA24006RMB, out-and-back following the half marathon route along the waterfront.
- 5K (3.1 miles) - certified WA240007RMB; runners and walkers are welcome.
Timing is provided by Ready, Set...Time! and race photos are supplied by CJ Photography.
Logistics, entries and awards
Registration items include a race bib with timing chip, a Santa Runs Tacoma finisher medal, a collective bib, and a festive beanie; race shirts are available for purchase. Team discounts apply at team sizes of 4, 10 and 15 with corresponding discounts and refunded when the team reaches each size. A portion of proceeds supports the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Central Co-Op, Tacoma. Gear check is provided on race day; participants attach the provided gear check tag to their bag. Age-group ribbons are awarded to the top five in multiple age categories and there are overall male and female awards. Medical services are provided by ProSport.
