Santa Runs Tacoma
Santa Runs Tacoma presents three races that start and finish in downtown Tacoma at 815 Pacific Avenue on Saturday, December 12, 2026. The event includes certified courses for each distance.
- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
The half marathon is an out-and-back waterfront route with a few rolling hills. It follows the waterfront and the Ruston Way Path, passes Point Ruston Waterwalk and Dune Peninsula Park, includes the Wilson Way Bridge for elevated views, then returns to downtown. The 10K follows the same waterfront corridor as a shorter out-and-back. The 5K is a 3.1 mile event open to runners and walkers and described as family friendly.
On-course support for the half marathon includes aid stations at approximately miles 2.5, 4, 6, 9 and 11 with water and electrolytes; some stations have fixed bathrooms. All finishers receive a festive finisher medal and the first 1,200 registrants receive a festive beanie. Long sleeve race shirts are available for purchase during registration. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, December 11 at Central Co-Op, 4502 North Pearl Street, Tacoma from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Gear check and a timing chip on the bib are provided on race day.
A portion of proceeds supports the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County. Entry fees are non-refundable and transfers or rollovers are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
