Christmas Rush Fun Run and Walk
The Christmas Rush Fun Run and Walk is a holiday road race held by Kent Parks at Hogan Park, 24400 Russell Road. The event includes two measured courses that run near the Green River and finish in front of the city shops on 240th.

Course details for both courses note clockwise running and instructions to stay to the left. The 10 km route starts on 240th, proceeds south on Russell Road, turns west onto Meeker, crosses a bridge, continues north on Frager Road, crosses a pedestrian bridge into Van Doren's Landing Park, follows the river to a turnaround, and returns along the river to the start area. The 5 km course is a modified out and back that starts on 240th, follows Meeker and Frager Road over the bridge, uses a foot bridge near the golf course, then continues north on the river trail to the finish.
Registration opens in October. Entry fees are listed as $20 and $35 with a shirt. Participants age 13 and under run free courtesy of Taylor Farms. The shirt order deadline is Thursday November 12. Day of race registration is available for $25 with no shirts provided.
Dogs are asked to stay home. Strollers are allowed with appropriate start line positioning. Packet pick up is available at Road Runner Sports, Kent Station the day before the race. Volunteers fill about 20 roles such as course marshals and water distribution. Awards are given for each age group after the race. A small bargain table sells previous year shirts for five dollars cash. Past race results are archived for reference. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
