Christmas Rush Fun Run and Walk
The Christmas Rush takes place on December 13, 2025, in Kent, Washington, at Hogan Park / 24400 Russell Road. The event includes the following distances:
- 5 km run/walk
- 10 km run
Both races run along the Green River and finish in the same location. The 10k uses a new clockwise course that begins on 240th, moves south on Russell Road, goes west on Meeker, crosses a bridge, continues north on Frager Road, crosses a pedestrian bridge into Van Doren's Landing Park, then returns along the east side of the river to the start/finish. The 5k is a modified out-and-back that starts on 240th, heads to Meeker, crosses the bridge, goes north on Frager Road, then returns over a foot bridge and a river trail to the finish.
Logistics and additional information
Participants age 13 and under run free courtesy of Taylor Farms. Registration options listed include $20 entry and a higher fee when a shirt is included; day-of registration is higher and does not include shirts. The shirt order deadline is Thursday, November 13 at 11:59 p.m. Packet pick up is scheduled at Road Runner Sports on December 11 and also on race day. Parking is at Hogan Park, 24400 Russell Road. Dogs are not allowed on the course; strollers are permitted with appropriate start-line positioning. Awards are given to the top five finishers in each age group after the race. A garage sale table will offer previous race shirts for $5 (cash). Volunteers are requested for course and aid tasks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
