Christmas Rush Fun Run and Walk
The Christmas Rush Fun Run and Walk is a holiday running event held in Kent along the Green River with a start and finish area in front of the city shops on 240th and Russell Road. Awards are given for each age group after the race.
Distances:
- 10K new clockwise course along 240th, Russell Road, Meeker, Frager Road, and the Green River trail.
- 5K modified out and back route on 240th, Meeker, Frager Road, over a foot bridge, and the river trail.
Registration opens September 29. Entry fees are listed as $20 and $35 with a shirt; participants 13 and under run free courtesy of Taylor Farms. The shirt order deadline is November 12 and day of race registration is noted at a $25 fee; shirts are not available for same-day registrants.
Logistics include packet pick up at Road Runner Sports at Kent Station on December 10. Dogs are not allowed on the course; strollers are permitted with appropriate placement at the start area. Parking is available at Hogan Park on Russell Road. Volunteers are requested to support course marshaling, water and snack distribution, and other event tasks with about 20 volunteer roles needed.
