Christmas Rush Fun Run and Walk
The Christmas Rush Fun Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at Hogan Park (24400 Russell Road) in Kent. The event is organized by the City of Kent Parks Department and offers measured race courses along the Green River corridor.

The 10K route runs clockwise from 240th, heads south on Russell Road, turns west onto Meeker, crosses the bridge, continues north on Frager Road, crosses the pedestrian bridge into Van Doren's Landing Park, and returns along the east side of the river to the start/finish area. The 5K is a modified out-and-back beginning on 240th in front of the city shops, proceeding south to Meeker, over the bridge to Frager Road, then returning via a foot bridge and the river trail to finish in front of the city shops.
Registration opens in October. Participants 13 and under are free courtesy of Taylor Farms. Standard fees are listed with options that include a race shirt; the shirt order deadline is Thursday, November 12. Day-of registration is available but shirts are not available on race day. If the race is canceled for reasons beyond organizer control, registration fees may not be refunded; organizers will attempt to transfer registrations to a future Kent Parks Department race.
Dogs are not allowed on the course. Strollers are permitted with recommended positioning at the start. Volunteers are requested to fill roles such as course marshal and water or snack distribution.
