Event Details
The University Place Twisted Cider 5K & 12K is a running and walking event held at Curran Apple Orchard Park in University Place, Washington. This is the fourth annual event. The courses go through quiet neighborhoods with views of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and Puget Sound. The terrain includes gentle rolling hills and flat, fast sections.
A Kids 1K event is available for participants 12 and under. Parents can run with their children in the 1K without registering for that distance.
Registration & Inclusions
Registration for the 5K and 12K includes a finisher medal, a tri-blend t-shirt (with a guaranteed size deadline of June 27), a collective bib, and a complimentary giant pretzel and cider at the finish line. Team discounts are available for the 5K.
Registration for the Kids 1K costs $10 and includes a finisher ribbon. Registration prices for the 5K and 12K increase on scheduled dates, starting from $35-$40.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Curran Apple Orchard Park and on race morning at the start line. Gear check is provided. Parking is available at United Church in University Place and the Curtis High School Aquatic Center parking lot.
After the race, there will be a food truck and live music at the finish line. A portion of the event's proceeds goes to the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
