University Place Twisted Cider 5K, 12K and Kids 1K
The event on July 25, 2026 takes place at Curran Apple Orchard Park in University Place. Courses run through neighborhood streets near the park and include views of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and Puget Sound. Routes contain gentle rolling hills and also some flat, faster sections.

- Kids 1K for ages 12 and under
The Kids 1K is an out-and-back course along Sound View Drive. Parents may run with their children in the 1K without registering for that distance. The 12K has a two hour finish time limit.
Registration benefits for 5K and 12K participants include a commemorative finisher medal, a tri-blend shirt with a size guarantee cutoff of June 27, a collective bib with timing chip, and a complimentary giant pretzel and cider at the finish. Kids in the 1K receive a finisher ribbon. Packet pickup includes the race bib with timing chip, a gear check tag, and a food tear tag redeemable at the finish. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, July 24, 2026, in the afternoon.
Parking is available at the United Church in University Place and at the Curtis High School Aquatic Center parking lot. Medical services are provided on site. A portion of proceeds supports the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County. All entry fees are non-refundable; no transfers or roll-overs are permitted.
