University Place Twisted Cider 5K, 12K & 1K
The University Place Twisted Cider event features road runs and a kids run that start and finish at Curran Apple Orchard Park in University Place. Courses run through quiet neighborhoods with glimpses of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the Puget Sound, and include gentle rolling hills as well as flat, faster sections.

Registration for the 5K and 12K includes a finisher medal, a tri-blend shirt (order by 6/27 to guarantee size), a collective bib, and a complimentary giant pretzel and cider at the finish. Packet pickup is available the day before at Curran Apple Orchard Park; packets contain a bib with timing chip, a gear check tag, and a pretzel and cider tear tag. Gear check is available on race morning until 15 minutes before the start.
The 12K has a two hour time limit to complete the course. Awards include overall male and female honors and age group ribbons for the top five finishers in age categories from 9 and under up to 90 plus. A portion of proceeds benefits the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County. Entry fees are non refundable and participants under 18 require a parental waiver.
