University Place Twisted Cider 5K, 12K & 1K : July 25, 2026
This event offers three distances held at Curran Apple Orchard Park in University Place:

- 12K
- Kids 1K (ages 12 and under)
Runners and walkers follow courses that wind through quiet University Place neighborhoods with glimpses of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and Puget Sound. The routes combine gentle rolling hills with flat, faster sections. The 5K course carries USATF certification WA22013RMB. The Kids 1K is an out-and-back along Sound View Drive; parents may run with their children without registering for the kids distance.
Registration includes a commemorative medal for 5K and 12K finishers (a finisher ribbon for the Kids 1K), a tri-blend shirt for 5K and 12K (size guaranteed if ordered by June 27), a collective bib, and a tear tag redeemable for a complimentary giant pretzel and cider at the finish. Optional merchandise may be available during registration. Team registration discounts include a $5 refund when a team reaches sizes of 4, 10, and 15. All entry fees are non-refundable; participants under 18 require a parent or guardian waiver. The 12K has a two hour time limit.
Packet pickup and gear check are provided at Curran Apple Orchard Park before race day and on race morning. Finish line amenities include food and beverages, a food truck, and live music.
