Event overview

The 10 km Université Laval 2026 takes place on 19 September 2026 at the PEPS de l'Université Laval in Québec City, QC, Canada. The event is organized by Rouge et Or Athlétisme in collaboration with Groupe Défis and is sanctioned by Athlétisme Québec. The 10 km is described as the second oldest race organized in Quebec and the oldest sporting event at Université Laval. Each participant receives a wooden medal made in Quebec; registrants may decline the medal during registration.

Logistics and rules

Entry fees vary by registration period. Public 2026 fees for the 10 km range from $38 to $51; the 5 km from $36 to $46; and the 800 m and 1.5 km from $15 to $20. Student rates are listed separately.

Bib pick-up is available at the PEPS the day before the event and on the race site near the track on race day. PEPS parking is paid from 1 September, with a maximum daily rate of $5.20 for events; some local streets will be closed for the event. A medical emergency plan is in place, including a vehicle from the PEPS clinic and a first-aid tent near the start. Water stations: 5 km course has water at km 3; 10 km course has water at km 3 and km 7. Official event timing follows Gun Time; Chip Time may also be displayed. PEPS locker rooms are available; participants must provide their own padlock and towel and use their bib as access pass.
