The 10 km Université Laval event takes place at the PEPS of Université Laval in Québec City and is organized by Rouge et Or Athlétisme in collaboration with Groupe Défis. The program offers multiple distances for different ages and abilities and is sanctioned by Athlétisme Québec.

The 5 km route has a water station at kilometre 3. The 10 km route has water stations at kilometres 3 and 7. The 800 m and 1.5 km races are open to all; trophies for winners are awarded to the top three in the categories 800 m (8 years and under) and 1.5 km (12 years and under). Parents or friends who wish to accompany children on the shorter courses must register as an accompanying participant.
Race services include bib pickup at the PEPS in the days before the event and a pick up option on event day, a wooden medal made in Quebec for each participant (which can be declined at registration), locker and shower access at the PEPS, a medical plan with an on-site vehicle and first aid post, and closed streets for the duration of the event. Parking on PEPS grounds is paid starting 1 September with a maximum daily rate of CA$5.20. The event also supports fundraising and lists Panier Extra among its sponsors.
