Event overview

The 10 km Université Laval 2026 takes place on 19 September 2026 at the PEPS of Université Laval in Québec City, QC. The event is organized by Rouge et Or Athlétisme in collaboration with Groupe Défis and is sanctioned by Athlétisme Québec. Four race distances are offered:

  • 800 m
  • 1.5 km
  • 5 km
  • 10 km

The 800 m and 1.5 km races are open to all; trophies for those distances are awarded to the top three in the categories 800 m (8 years and under) and 1.5 km (12 years and under). The event lists a fundraising organization (Club d'athlétisme Rouge et Or) and a sponsor (Panier Extra).

Logistics, rules and services

Course support: the 5 km course has a water station at km 3; the 10 km course has water stations at km 3 and km 7. Parking at the PEPS is paid starting 1 September; the maximum fee for events is $5.20 per day. Some nearby streets will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event.

Registration and fees: tiered public and student pricing is published for each distance. Registrations are transferable, refundable (except transaction fees) or modifiable up to 30 days before the event; changes after that date may incur surcharges or no refund.

Participant services: bib pickup is available Friday 18 September (15:00–19:00) at the PEPS and on the day of the event at the track near the start. Each participant receives a wooden medal made in Québec; participants can decline the medal during registration. A medical plan is in place, including a vehicle provided by the Clinique du PEPS and a first aid trailer near the start. Vestiaires are available at the PEPS; participants must bring their own padlock and towel and use their bib as entry pass.
