United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival 5K/10K

The event features two distances on an out-and-back course that runs predominantly on the Great Miami River Recreation Trail near RiverScape MetroPark in downtown Dayton. The race is held in conjunction with the United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival and is open to runners and walkers of all ages. Refreshments are available at the finish.

• 10K

Registration fees vary by date: through May 31 the 5K is $26 and the 10K is $30; June 1 through July 17 the 5K is $30 and the 10K is $35; July 18 through race day the 5K is $35 and the 10K is $40. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by July 17; some shirts may be available on race day but are not guaranteed. There is no onsite registration; online registration remains open until shortly before the race. Transfers to another participant are permitted through June 27. Registration fees are nonrefundable and nontransferrable.

Parking is available on streets and in various downtown lots; participants must determine if spaces are open to the public. Awards include top overall male and female in each distance and top finishers in these age groups: 10 and under, 11 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Organizers may reschedule, cancel, or convert the event to virtual for weather, public safety, pandemic, or other reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
