Overview
The United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival 5K/10K is a running and walking event held in Dayton, Ohio, in conjunction with the Celtic Festival. The races are open to participants of all ages.
Course
The start and finish are on the Great Miami River Recreation Trail near RiverScape MetroPark in downtown Dayton. The course is predominantly an out-and-back route on this recreation trail (bikeway).
Registration
Registration is online only; there will be no onsite registration. Online registration remains open until 9:15 AM on race day. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. A shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed by July 17.
Awards
Awards are presented for the top overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K. Age group awards are also given in both distances for the following categories: 10 and Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and Over.
Event Details
On race day, registration and packet pick-up begin at 8:00 AM at the Celtic Festival Main Stage under the Pavilion at Riverscape MetroPark. The 5K and 10K races start at 9:30 AM. Awards for the 5K begin at 10:30 AM, followed by 10K awards. Timing stops at 11:00 AM. Refreshments will be available at the finish line.
Policies
In the event of cancellation due to weather, public safety concerns, or a pandemic, the race may be rescheduled, canceled, or converted to a virtual event. No refunds will be issued.
