St. Chris 2 Miler Run/Walk
The event is a community running event hosted at St Christopher Church, 435 E National Rd, Vandalia, OH 45377, and presented by the Knights of Columbus Father Aufderheide Council 12912. The course is a very flat and fast 2.0 mile route through neighborhood streets with the start and finish at the church.
Registration is available in advance and has a fee structure: pre registration is $23 with a guaranteed T shirt if registered by July 12, or $15 without a shirt; race day entry is $25 with shirts while extras last. There is a $5 discount for participants 17 and under and for those 65 and over. The organizer provided registration opening and closing dates.
Awards are given to overall male and female winners, including special prizes and lifetime free entry to the race as stated by the organizer. Top three male and female finishers receive awards in each age group. Age groups are 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. Team awards are provided for top female, male, and coed teams; teams must have at least five members and team scoring is determined by adding the times of the top five scoring members. Refreshments and door prizes are listed among event extras. Proceeds support the Vandalia Butler Food Pantry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
