St. Chris 2 Miler Run/Walk
The St. Chris 2 Miler is a community running and walking event held at St Christopher Church, 435 E National Rd, Vandalia, OH. The event is scheduled for July 18 and is presented by the Knights of Columbus, Father Aufderheide Council 12912.
The course is a neighborhood route described as very flat and fast, with the start and finish located at the church. The distance is 2.0 Mile and the route runs through local streets.
Entry options include a pre-registration fee of $23 with a guaranteed T-shirt if registered by July 12, or $15 without a shirt. Race-day registration fee is $25 while T-shirts last. A $5 discount applies to participants aged 17 and under and those 65 and over.
Awards are given to the overall male and female winners, who receive special prizes and free race entry to this event going forward. Top three male and female finishers in each age group also receive awards. Age groups are: 10 & under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-69; 70 & over.
Team awards are presented for top Female, Male, and Co-ed teams; teams must have at least five members and team results are determined by adding the times of the top five scoring members.
Proceeds support the Vandalia-Butler Food Pantry. The event also offers refreshments and door prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
