The Dragons 5K is scheduled for July 18, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio, with an in-person option at Day Air Ballpark, 220 N Patterson Blvd, and a virtual option that can be completed anywhere in the United States. The event historically draws over 3,000 participants.

In-person finish times are recorded with electronic timing. Overall top three finishers for men, women, and non-binary runners receive engraved bats. Age group awards for top three finishers include team store e-gift cards, with chip time used to determine age group award times. Virtual participants are not eligible for race prizes.

The 2026 race entry includes a swag bag with a Dragons 5K t-shirt, a medal, a Dragons hat, and four tickets to a Dragons game. Virtual registrants may pay an additional fee for shipping, with shipping occurring the week after the event, or opt for in-person pickup. Swag bag and bib pickup is available before the event at Day Air Ballpark, with post-event pickup starting July 20 at the Dragons Box Office. Registration opens March 2, 2026.
