The Dragons 5K is scheduled for July 24, 2027 in Dayton, Ohio at Day Air Ballpark, 220 N Patterson Blvd. The event offers both an in-person race and a virtual option.

The in-person race is electronically chip timed and typically attracts over 3,000 participants. Virtual participants may run, walk, or hike the same distance anywhere and may submit results online through July 31, 2027. Virtual entries include race swag and require an additional shipping fee if items are mailed; shipped swag is sent the week following the race, or participants may pick up items at the stadium after the event.
Registration opens February 1, 2027. Early pricing and bonus stadium seats apply through April 18, 2027. Adult and youth fees vary and scheduled price increases occur in April, June, and the week of the race. Registrations completed by July 18, 2027 are guaranteed a race t-shirt, medal, and hat while supplies last.
Swag bag and bib pickup is available at Day Air Ballpark on designated days before the race and at the stadium after the race. In-person winners receive overall awards and age group awards are determined by chip time. Virtual participants are not eligible for race prizes.
