Unified 5K Brunswick
The inaugural Unified 5K Brunswick takes place on June 13, 2026 at the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department, 220 Neptune Dr, Brunswick, ME. The event is presented as an inclusive community road race that supports the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center.

Both courses start and finish at the Parks and Rec parking lot. The 5 km route follows local streets including Neptune, Anchor, Admiral Fitch, Pegasus, Burbank, and Orion and returns to the parking lot. The 5 km course profile shows a starting elevation of 52 ft, a maximum elevation of 63 ft, and an elevation gain of 9 ft. The 1 mile route is a loop through Brunswick Landing and also begins and ends at the parking lot.
The event includes a vendor expo called the Brunswick AdaptXpo for adaptive sports organizations and companies that support individuals with disabilities. Volunteer roles are part of the event structure. Through a partnership with Less Leg More Heart a running blade will be donated to an amputee at each race.
