Event overview
The Dash for Dogs is a community 5K event on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Lewiston, ME. The event is organized from the Humane Society location at 55 Strawberry Avenue. Options include an in-person 5K Walk or Run with a dog, an in-person 5K Walk or Run without a dog, a 5K virtual participation option, and a free entry for children ages 1 to 8 (no dogs allowed). Course, registration and awards
The course starts at the Humane Society parking area, follows a short road section onto Tall Pines Drive to a trailhead, continues along the Androscoggin Riverwalk trail to Sunnyside Park, then returns to the start. Early bird registration is $25 until December 31. Standard online registration is $30 from January 1 through April 25. Same-day in-person registration fee is $35. Virtual registration and many in-person entry types are listed at $25 in the event options. The deadline for shirt orders is April 10. Awards include top male and female finishers by age group for both with-dog and without-dog categories, a best dressed pet prize, raffle entries for all registered participants, and a top fundraiser prize.
