Course and Details
The route follows the Androscoggin Riverwalk path. It starts at the Humane Society, goes onto Tall Pines Drive, and follows the trail to Sunnyside Park before turning around to return. It is described as one of the few events in Maine where participants can run or walk with a dog, provided the dog is current on vaccinations and does not use a flex-lead leash. The event is held regardless of weather conditions.
Registration and Logistics
Registration prices vary. Early bird registration is $25 until December 31, standard registration is $30 from January 1 to April 25, and same-day in-person registration is $35. Virtual participation costs $25. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the event at the shelter. A deadline for shirt orders is listed as April 10th.
Prizes and Awards
Prizes are awarded to top male and female finishers in each age group, both for those running with and without a dog.
