Under the Oaks Run - Jekyll Island, GA
Saint Simons Christian School and the Jekyll Island Authority sponsor the 16th annual Under the Oaks Run on Jekyll Island, GA on October 10, 2026. The event offers three race distances and a course that travels from the beach to marsh and riverfront areas.
Course highlights include oceanfront sections, routes under live oak canopies in the historic Millionaires Village, and stretches along marsh and riverfront paths. The race uses tree-canopied bike paths and includes separate routes for each distance.

Registration information notes that fees are non-refundable for any reason. If the event is canceled due to circumstances beyond organizer control, registered participants will be converted to virtual registration and race packets will be mailed. Registrations cannot be deferred to a future year but may be transferred to another runner at no charge. Packet mailing is available for an additional fee: $15 for 5k and 10k packets and $25 for half marathon packets.
Registration includes an event t-shirt, a finisher medal for all events, a swag bag, and post-race food. Free race photos are provided by True Speed Photo.
