Under the Oaks Run
The Under the Oaks Run is a running event taking place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, on Jekyll Island, Georgia. It is the 16th annual edition of the event, sponsored by Saint Simons Christian School in partnership with the Jekyll Island Authority.
The event offers three race distances:
- 13.1 Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
All races start and finish at the Summer Waves waterpark on Jekyll Island. The courses travel through varied scenery, including a stretch along the Atlantic Ocean, paths under canopies of live oak trees in the historic Millionaires Village district, and routes along the marsh and riverfront of the Golden Isles.
Registration includes an event T-shirt, a finisher medal, a swag bag, and post-race food. Finisher medals are awarded for all events, and free race photos are provided. The registration fee is non-refundable. If the event is canceled due to circumstances beyond the organizers' control, all registered participants will be switched to a virtual race and their packets will be mailed.
