About the race
Saint Simons Christian School and the Jekyll Island Authority present the 16th annual Under the Oaks Run on October 10, 2026, at Summer Waves on Jekyll Island, GA. The event offers road race distances that travel along the Atlantic Ocean, under live oak tree canopies in the historic Millionaires Village, and along marsh and riverfront paths on bike trails.

Registration details state fees increase on September 15, 2026. Current fees are listed as $50 for the 5k, $60 for the 10k, and $90 for the half marathon. Military and first responder registrants are eligible for a 20% discount with promo code USA2026. Registration is nonrefundable for any reason; if the event is cancelled for reasons outside organizer control, entries will be converted to virtual and packets mailed to registered participants. Registrations cannot be deferred to a future year, but transfers to another runner are allowed at no charge. If a registrant cannot attend, the packet can be mailed for an additional fee of $15 for the 5k/10k or $25 for the half marathon.
Registration includes an event T-shirt, finisher medal, swag bag, post-race food, and other items. Finishers receive medals and race photos are provided free by True Speed Photo.
