Run Jekyll - Jekyll Island, GA
Run Jekyll is a weekend road race held on Jekyll Island, Georgia, on January 16-17, 2027. The event offers multiple race options that follow courses across the island, passing live oak canopies, salt marshes, beaches, and the Jekyll Island Club National Historic Landmark.
Race options include:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (21K)
- Marathon (42K)
- 5K/21K double
- 10K/21K double
- 5K/42K double
- 10K/42K double
The marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified and designated as Boston qualifying; the 10K and 5K will be certified by race day. Aid stations on course provide water, Gatorade, and HUMA gels. Each registered finisher receives a long-sleeved race shirt, a race number with timing chip, and a commemorative finisher medal. Post-race food and on-site entertainment are planned.
Packet pickup is available at the Jekyll Island Club Resort during race weekend; race materials will not be mailed and marathon participants must pick up their own materials. There is a bag drop at the finish; organizers are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Strollers are permitted in the 5K and 10K (start from the back); strollers are not allowed in the half or full marathon. Pets are not allowed in any event. A seven-hour time limit applies to all events. Jekyll Island is a state park and requires an access fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
