Sandy Claus 5K and Mistletoe Fun Run
The Sandy Claus 5K and Mistletoe Fun Run take place on Saturday, December 12, 2026, on Jekyll Island, Georgia, at 100 James Rd. The event is set along the island shore and occurs under the lights on Jekyll Island, with participants running and walking past the island's Christmas light installations.

Costumes are encouraged, with examples given such as Santa hats, reindeer antlers, ugly sweaters (breathable ones), or beach elf outfits. The finish area features holiday tunes, coastal treats, and holiday-inspired swag. The event offers one-of-a-kind finisher medals and the finish area may include a visit from Sandy Claus.
Awards include Overall Male and Female, Overall Masters Male and Female, and age group awards for the following ranges: 0-10, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
Packet pick up is Friday, December 11, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the entrance to Jekyll Island off Hwy 17. On race day packet pick up is available at the start/finish area on Saturday morning with separate pickup windows for the 5K and the Fun Run.
Registration opens July 25, 2026 at 18:00 and closes September 29, 2026 at 23:59. Fees listed are $35.00 for the 5K and $25.00 for the Fun Run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
