The Under the Helmet 5k Run and Fun Run takes place on January 1, 2026 in Brunswick, GA. The event features two options:

The listed entry fees are $26 for the 5k and $15 for the Fun Run/Walk. Prices increase after December 15, 2025. Registrations completed by December 15 are guaranteed a T-shirt; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a T-shirt.

The start and finish are in downtown Brunswick, with the 5k course described as running through historic Brunswick. Overall and age group awards are offered.
The event is organized by the Pilot Club of Brunswick, affiliated with Pilot International. The club emphasizes brain safety and awareness through programs such as BrainMinders, which presents safety education and activity materials to children and has been expanded to include adults in assisted living. A safety helmet project provides helmets to youth, distributed with bicycles at Christmas in cooperation with the Brunswick exchange club. The Pilot Club of Brunswick also supports Memory Matters, Memory Walks, scholarships for high school seniors entering medical fields, and caregiver support activities called Pick Me Ups.
