Event overview
The 4th Annual Dark Anchor is a timed running event on Jekyll Island, Georgia. The event is listed as sold out for 2026. The race uses chip timing provided by ZEN ARCADE TIMING with live tracking, lap counting, and splits. The event has a 34-hour time window. Awards include a finishers buckle for 100 miles and large medals for other distances. Times are recorded for distances of 25K and above. The race is cup-less; runners are asked to bring a reusable cup and a camp cup for broth.
Course and logistics
The course is a 3-mile loop that starts and finishes at Yeti Headquarters, with a short out-and-back on Live Oak Avenue. The loop runs counterclockwise, on smooth, flat terrain described as highly runnable with no elevation change. Aid is available at a fully stocked aid station offering water, Gatorade, and typical aid station fare; lunch and dinner are provided by Treehouse and Yeti food truck items are available to runners only. Only Dark Anchor runners are allowed in the Yeti HQ aid and food area. Pacers are not permitted; for 100-mile entrants, crew may join on the parade loop for the final lap. Portable toilets and park restroom access are provided. Organizers request runners and crews bag and remove trash outside Yeti HQ to protect park facilities.
