AVR Umborne Ug 2026
The Umborne Ug is a multi-terrain 10k held under Association of Running Clubs rules, starting and finishing at Umborne Village Hall near Colyton, EX13 7QL. The course is approximately 75% off-road and includes a scenic section on the privately owned Widworthy Estate. The early part of the route passes through a wood with some tricky sections. The course layout includes a first loop on road run clockwise from the hall, 21 marshals, clear signage, and two backmarkers.
Logistics are managed from the village hall. Registration and number collection take place in the hall, where competitors complete medical details on the reverse of their number; safety pins are available. There is limited car parking in nearby fields, toilet facilities inside the hall and portable toilets outside, and first aid and medical help at the finish. Water is available about halfway on the course and at the finish; the event aims to operate a cupless station so competitors should bring their own cups or bottles. Prizes are awarded for male and female overall places and for age categories V40, V50, V60 and V70. Minimum age to enter is 16.
