Event Overview
The Umborne Ug is a multi-terrain 10 km running event. It starts and finishes at Umborne Village Hall, located three miles north of Colyton in East Devon.
Course Details
The route is approximately 75% off-road. It includes a scenic section on the privately owned Widworthy Estate and an initial loop on roads near the village hall. Organizers note there are some tricky sections through a wood. Twenty-one marshals, signs, and two backmarkers will be present on the course.
On-Site Facilities
Limited car parking is available in fields near the hall from about 09:30. There are toilets at the hall and portable toilets outside. A water station is provided roughly halfway through the race and at the finish; participants are encouraged to bring their own cups or bottles to fill. Medical support and first aid will be available.
Post-Race
Hot drinks, food, and cakes will be available at the hall after the race. Results will be published on the organizer's website.
Participation Details
The minimum age for participants is 16. Prizes are awarded for the top three male and female finishers, as well as in veteran age categories (V40, V50, V60, V70). Dogs are not allowed on the route. The event is held under Association of Running Clubs rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
