AVR Umborne Ug 2026
The event is a multi-terrain 10k run held under Association of Running Clubs rules, starting and finishing at Umborne Village Hall, EX13 7QL, near Colyton in East Devon. The course is reported as 75% off-road and includes a scenic section across the privately owned Widworthy Estate. The route begins with a clockwise road loop then moves onto off-road sections; there are some tricky bits through the first wood and runners are asked to take care.
Course safety and support include 21 marshals, plenty of signage, two backmarkers, a water station about halfway and a water station at the finish. The organisers aim to run a cupless station model, so runners are expected to use their own cups or bottles; helpers will refill containers. First aid and medical help are available at the finish.
Facilities and logistics: registration takes place in the village hall where race numbers and medical-detail forms are issued; safety pins are provided though participants may bring their own. There are three indoor toilets and additional portable toilets outside. Parking is limited and arranged in nearby fields with signage; a WhatThreeWords location is given for the parking field. Prizes are awarded M/F 1-3 and M/F categories V40, V50, V60 and V70. Minimum age is 16. Proceeds support the village hall funds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
