12th Annual Umatilla Kiwanis 5K for the Kids
The event is a community 5K running and walking event held on November 14, 2026 in Cadwell Park and through Umatilla. The course is USATF certified (FL19064TY) and covers 3.1 Miles. The event includes both in-person and virtual participation options; virtual participants can record a run in town and upload a photo and time through RunSignUp.
The Kiwanis Club organizes the event to raise funds for local schools and youth programs. Beneficiaries named for this event include Umatilla Elementary, Umatilla Middle, Umatilla High, Altoona Charter, Spring Creek, and several Kiwanis-supported programs such as college scholarships, back-to-school clothing, STEM activities and science fairs, Boys and Girls Club support, holiday meals for families, and Christmas gifts.
The event fee listed for general participants is $35. Reduced fees are listed for groups identified as teachers and students: team teachers at $15 and students at $10. Groups of adults, schools, clubs, or businesses may register together and receive a group discount when registering as a group.
