Event overview
Ultraman Australia is a three-day, 515 km endurance triathlon held in Australia. The 2026 Noosa event is scheduled for 9-11 May 2026. A second event is listed for Wanaka on 11-14 December 2026. The event is described as annual and is organised as an independent Ultraman-distance event, not affiliated with other Ultraman events.
Course and format
The race starts and finishes at Noosa Heads beach, in front of the Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The event is divided into four stages over three days. Each day has a 12 hour cut-off.
Distances by day:
- Day 1: 10 km swim, 140 km bike
- Day 2: 281.1 km bike
- Day 3: 84.3 km run
The first Ultraman Australia event was held in 2015. The Ultraman distance format was first held in Hawaii in 1983 and similar events are now held in multiple countries.
