Ultraman Australia - Noosa Triathlon
Ultraman Australia is a three day, 515 km endurance triathlon based at Noosa Heads beach on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. The race starts and finishes in front of the Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club. Noosa Heads has been named as one of Australia’s top ten beaches.
The event is divided into four stages conducted over three days. Each race day has a 12 hour cut off. Organisers describe the distances as a test of physical and mental endurance and note local businesses, community groups and a dedicated event team provide support.
Distances by day:
- Day 1: 10 km swim, 145 km bike
- Day 2: 276.1 km bike
- Day 3: 84.3 km run
Ultraman Australia is presented as an annual endurance race. The first UM Australia was held in 2015. The Ultraman distance was first contested in Hawaii in 1983, and similar distance events take place in several other countries. UM Australia is run independently and is not affiliated with other Ultraman distance events or events with similar names. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
