Ultra Ultras Turkey Trot 5k

Ultra Ultras presents the 4th Annual Turkey Trot 5k and kids fun run in Lake Wales on November 26, 2026. The main event is a 3.1 mile run held at Lake Wailes Park in Lake Wales, Florida. The course is described as an easy 5k on a paved path with a small section of grass; it is not a trail race.

Distances:

• 3.1 Miles (5K) on a paved path with a small grass section
• Kids run (9 and under): distance 20 to 400 yards by age; no shirts

Participants receive race timing via FITNICHE with a disposable chip attached to the back of the race bib. Race shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 400 registrants, and shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations received by November 6. Packet pickup is offered the day before at Lake Wailes Park and on race day at the start area.

Awards include top overall male and female, masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and top three finishers in multiple age groups from 9 and under through 80 plus. Overall winners are not eligible to also win an age group award. After the run, pumpkin pancakes, bananas, and other snacks will be available for participants. The schools with the most student runners receive donations to their cross country programs, with set amounts for the top four schools.
