Overview
The Ultra Ultras Turkey Trot 5k takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in Lake Wales, Florida. The event is presented as the 4th Annual Turkey Trot and includes a main 5k, a volunteer category, and a free kids run for ages 9 and under. Entry fees listed for the main 5k show an adult price of $40 and a student price of $25; the volunteer and kids events are free.
Course and logistics
The main course is an easy 5k on a paved path with a small section of grass; it is not a trail race. Packet pickup is offered the day before at Lake Wailes Park and at the race start area on race day. Race timing and scoring are provided by FITNICHE using a disposable chip attached to the back of the bib. Race shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed to the first 400 registrants, and shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by November 6. Hot grilled pumpkin pancakes, bananas, and other snacks will be available to participants after the race.

Awards and donations
Awards include top overall male and female, masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and top three in standard age groups from 9 & under up to 80+. Overall winners cannot also win an age-group award. All kids in the free run receive a ribbon. Schools with the most student runners receive donations: $500 for first, $250 for second, $150 for third, and $100 for fourth.
