Course Details
The 5k course is described as easy and is primarily on a paved path with a small section of grass. It is not a trail race. The event is timed using a disposable chip attached to the bib number.
Post-Race and Awards
After the run, participants are served hot grilled pumpkin pancakes, bananas, and other snacks. An awards ceremony is scheduled for approximately 9:30 a.m. Awards are given to the top overall male and female runners, top masters (40+), top grand masters (50+), and the top three finishers in each age group.
Additional Information
A free kids run is offered for children aged 9 and under, with distances ranging from 20 to 400 yards based on age. All children in this event receive a winning ribbon, but no shirts are provided. T-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 400 registered participants for the 5k, with shirt sizes guaranteed only for those registered by November 6th.
Packet pickup is available on the day before the race at the park and on race morning at the start area. A portion of the race entry fees is donated to support local school cross-country programs, with cash prizes awarded to the schools with the most participating students.
