Ultimate OCR 3K Championship
The Ultimate OCR 3K Championship is scheduled for July 13, 2026 at the New Holland Arena. The event is an indoor obstacle course race run over 3k, arranged in 300 m increments with more than 25 obstacles on course. The venue is noted for spectator viewing.
The event uses a three-band scoring system. Obstacles are classified as mandatory completion or single attempt. Mandatory completion obstacles may be retried; failure to complete a mandatory obstacle leads to forfeiture of any remaining bands and ineligibility for awards. Single attempt obstacles allow only one attempt; failure costs one band but the athlete may continue. Athletes who lose all three bands are considered non-complete and are not eligible for awards. Penalty loops are applied after the final obstacle and before the finish line to account for lost bands.
Competition classes include Elite, Open, and age groups for youth and adults across male and female divisions. Elite and age-group entries are timed using a chip timing system; the Open class is not timed. Officials are stationed at each obstacle to observe attempts and enforce band removals.
The Elite division carries a $4,000 prize purse with defined payouts for the top three places. The event is a USA OCR Team Qualifier. Top finishers in Elite and each age group receive large medals; all finishers receive a medal and a shirt. Live results are posted but are tentative until the end of the day.
