Bishop McDevitt High School Santa Run 5K and 1 Mile Walk
This event is a community run and walk held at Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, PA, on December 12, 2026. Distances offered:

The course begins on the track inside Rocco Ortenzio Stadium, follows the paved private road around the school campus, and finishes back in the stadium. The event benefits Bishop McDevitt High School and includes a collection of Christmas wish list items for the Child Life department at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital; donations are encouraged but not required.
Registration fees and shirt availability vary by age and entry date. If entered before November 30, 2026, fees include a cotton shirt while supplies last: adults (ages 18–59) $30, students (ages 7–17) $10, seniors (60+) $20. After that date prices rise and shirts are offered only while supplies last: adults $35, students $20, seniors $25. Children under 7 may participate free when accompanied by a registered adult; shirts for those children are not guaranteed. Race day registration is available by cash, card, or check but shirts are not guaranteed.
Registered participants receive a drawstring bag and Santa hat. Coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts will be available. Medals are awarded overall and by age group, and gift card drawings will be held for three random participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
