About the race
The UIS - BOS Turkey Trot is a late November running event held on the University of Illinois Springfield campus with both an on-site race and a virtual option. The event offers distinct distance choices:

- 3.1 miles virtual option
Registration opens on September 11, 2026. The in-person registration closes on November 26, 2026 and the virtual registration closes on November 25, 2026. The entry fee is $35.00 for each option. A long sleeve t-shirt is included with registration; the deadline to be guaranteed a t-shirt is November 14.
All registration fees and donations are directed to the UIS Cross Country and Track Program. Packet pick-up is available on November 25 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm or on race day from 6:00 to 8:00 am at the Recreation and Athletic Center. The Recreation and Athletic Center is located on the UIS campus on Richard Wright Drive in Springfield, Illinois.
