Frostbite Festival
The 63rd annual Frostbite Festival takes place on December 6, 2026 at AMF Springfield Lanes in Springfield, IL. The event uses an out and back course that returns to the same start and finish line and includes the same roller coaster hills used in prior years.

The festival offers both in person and virtual participation options for each distance. All race finishers receive a medal. Registration is handled only through RunSignUp; cash and checks are not accepted and transfers or sales between persons are not permitted.
Guaranteed shirt orders require selection of a size by November 3, 2026; additional shirts will be ordered and registrants who can choose a size during registration will receive a shirt. Packet pickup is scheduled on the Saturday before race day and there will also be race morning packet pickup outside AMF Springfield Lanes. Any packets not collected at these pickups will be forfeited unless the shipping option was selected. There is a packet mailing option for a separate $15 fee; mailed packets will be prepared after race weekend.
Virtual participants may run or walk on a course and location of their choice. Virtual participation has no course support, markings, or course marshals and requires obeying all parking signage. In person entrants who do not start will be transferred to the virtual event. Virtual results can be submitted from December 6 through December 13, 2026.
