Frostbite Festival
The Frostbite Festival takes place on December 6, 2026 in Springfield, Illinois at AMF Springfield Lanes, 2660 W. Lawrence, Springfield IL 62704. This is the 63rd edition and the event offers in person and virtual out and back races with two distance options.

- 2 mile out and back race.
All race finishers receive a medal. Registration opens September 13, 2026 and closes November 30, 2026; race registration is also available on race day until 8:45 am. Guaranteed race shirt requires registration and size selection by November 3, 2026; no extra shirts will be ordered. Registration is handled through RunSignUp only; no cash or checks are accepted and transfers or sales between persons are not permitted.
Packet pickup is scheduled the Saturday before the race and on race morning. Unclaimed packets will be forfeited unless the mailing option was selected. Packets by mail are available for a separate $15 fee and will be prepared for mailing after race weekend.
Virtual participants may complete their distance on their own course and submit results between December 6 and December 13, 2026. The virtual option has no course support, markings, or marshals and requires participants to obey local traffic and parking signage. There are no age group awards for the virtual event.
