UF Homecoming and Gator Growl - Gator Gallop
The Gator Gallop is an annual tradition held as part of the University of Florida's homecoming celebration in Gainesville. The event for 2026 marks the 103rd year of this community activity. Participants follow a route that winds through the University of Florida campus and along the designated parade route.
The event is organized as a fun run where participants are welcome to either run or walk the course. The gathering point for the event is the Plaza of the Americas, located in the center of the university campus. The atmosphere at the plaza includes music, various photo opportunities, and prizes for those in attendance.
