Run for Your Life 5K: Color Fun Run
The Run for Your Life 5K is a color fun run held on September 27, 2026, at 874 SE 4 St, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA. The event combines a 5 kilometer course with community activities and awareness efforts around substance misuse in Alachua County.
Participants are offered breakfast, a fitness instructor warm-up, and access to a community fair with resource tables from local organizations. The course includes six color powder stations along the track. At the finish there will be medals and an announcement of raffle winners, followed by a group photo opportunity.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the Alachua County Health Promotion and Wellness Coalition to support prevention services and health education. A medication take-back will be available through Rx Destroyer; all medications except sharps and inhalers are accepted for safe disposal.
This is a fun run and official times will not be recorded; participants may use their own tracking devices if they wish to record a time. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Shirt sizes cannot be exchanged at pickup. Groups of four or more receive a 10% registration discount. Early bird pricing is available through September 6th.
