Run for Your Life 5K - Color Fun Run
The Run for Your Life 5K is an eighth annual color fun run held in Gainesville, Florida on September 27, 2026. The event raises funds and awareness about substance misuse in Alachua County and supports the Alachua County Health Promotion and Wellness Coalition, which provides prevention services and health education to youth and adults.
The event program includes a participant breakfast, a fitness instructor warm-up session, and a community fair featuring resources from local organizations. The course includes six color powder stations on the track. At the finish there will be medal awards, raffle prize announcements, and a group photo opportunity.
Event services include free medication collection and disposal through Rx Destroyer for most medications; sharps and inhalers are not accepted for disposal. The run is organized as a fun run and official times are not recorded; participants may use personal tracking devices to log their time. Shirt sizes are limited and selected sizes cannot be exchanged at packet pickup. Groups of four or more receive a 10% registration discount.
