Run for Your Life 5K : Gainesville
The Run for Your Life 5K is an annual Color Fun Run held in Gainesville on September 27, 2026. Now in its eighth year, the event is a community fundraising and awareness activity that supports the Alachua County Health Promotion and Wellness Coalition. The event features a 5K course with six color powder stations along the route.
The event program includes breakfast for participants, a fitness instructor warm-up session, and a community fair with resources from local organizations. Raffle prizes will be drawn after the run and medals will be distributed at the finish. The gathering concludes with a group photo.
Additional event details and participant rules: this is a fun run and official times will not be recorded, so participants may use their own tracking devices to record times. A medication take-back station will collect and safely dispose of unused medications free of charge through Rx Destroyer; sharps and inhalers are not accepted. Shirt sizes selected at registration cannot be exchanged at pickup. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Refunds are not available.
