Lindale Turkey Trot
The 7th Annual Lindale Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving morning at E.J. Moss Intermediate School in Lindale, Texas. This community event serves as a fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the Lindale ISD Education Foundation to support local educational initiatives.
The event offers two distinct running opportunities:
- 5K running race
- Kids Race for participants aged 10 and under
The 5K course starts and finishes on Eagle Spirit Drive. This distance is open to participants of any age or physical condition, and it allows for both running and walking. The course is also accessible for strollers and wagons. Participants may bring leashed pets, provided they are not aggressive breeds. Those registered for the 5K receive a chip-timed result, a soft-blend t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Awards including gold, silver, and bronze medals are presented to the top three finishers in each age division.
The Kids Race is designed for younger children and features a course around the school parking lot. Participants in this category receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. Children aged 10 and under who are registered for the Kids Race may also participate in the 5K at no additional cost, though separate registration is required if they wish to have a timed result.
Amenities include a coffee truck providing complimentary coffee and hot chocolate for attendees. All registration for the event is handled through an online system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
