TYathlon Sprint Triathlon & 5K

The event is held on September 19, 2026 at Lake Mahopac in Mahopac, New York, near 1 Marina Drive. It is the 14th edition and benefits the Ty Louis Campbell Young Investigator Fund at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell, supporting childhood cancer research.

There are two triathlon entries and a family friendly 5K. The sprint triathlon and the sprint relay share the same course layout; the relay requires a minimum of two and a maximum of three participants per team. The 5K welcomes walkers, joggers, runners, and strollers. All 5K participants receive an event t shirt and a finisher medal.

Distances:

• .25 mile swim in Lake Mahopac, in water start
• 10.5 mile bike, two loops around Lake Mahopac
• 2.7 mile run
