Snowy Owl Trail Race
The Snowy Owl Trail Race is a 5 miles trail event held at Mountain Lakes Park in North Salem, NY on December 13, 2026. The course runs through the park's trails, overlooks, mountaintops, and waterfront areas and both starts and finishes in the Yurt Village at Camp Morty.
The Yurt Village includes a large firepit and an amphitheater that serve as the gathering area for participants before and after the race. The firepit will have a roaring fire to provide warmth.
The event supports trail projects at Mountain Lakes Park. The park covers more than 1000 acres and contains over 10 miles of trails. Those trails connect with trail systems from four neighboring parks, extending the contiguous network to nearly 14 miles.
