The Two Rivers 200/100 is a dog team race held in Fairbanks, AK on Fri January 23 to Sun January 25, 2026. The race includes two classes:
- 100 Mile - dog team race, 6-12 dogs
- 200 Mile - dog team race, 8-12 dogs
Entry and place
The race takes place at 23 Mile Chena Hot Springs Rd, Fairbanks, AK 99712. Entry fees listed are $150 for the 100 Mile and $250 for the 200 Mile. Each event page shows the event as full and lists registration closing on January 11, 2026 at 11:59 pm AKST. Age limits are 15-99 for the 100 Mile and 18-99 for the 200 Mile. The race listing states there is no purse for these races.
Race rules, gear and veterinary care
Mandatory gear is checked at the start and at each checkpoint. Required items include a sled with a standard brake up to Iditarod Trail Committee standards, a 3-gallon cooker with fuel and cooking gear, food for one feeding, a cold weather sleeping bag, eight booties per dog, a hand ax at least 22 inches long, a pair of snowshoes with at least 252 square inches surface area, a headlamp, a cable or iron mainline, a snow hook, and an assigned visible starting bib. 200 Mile teams receive a vet book.
All dogs must have proof of vaccinations listed in the race information. A Race Veterinarian will check dogs before the start and at checkpoints; dogs or teams judged unfit may be withdrawn or disqualified. Mandatory rest: 100 Mile teams have a 4-hour layover at the first checkpoint. 200 Mile teams must take at least 12 hours total rest, with at least four hours at the final checkpoint and rest counted in 30-minute increments.
