Twisted Ankle Trail Race - September 12, 2026
The Twisted Ankle Trail Race takes place in Summerville, GA, at Sloppy Floyd State Park. The 2026 event marks the 20th running of Becky's Bluff and continues a twenty-year practice of donating all proceeds to the park. A special 2026-only option adds a 20 mile race with two ascents of Becky's Bluff.
Distances offered include:
- 20 mile - special 2026 distance with two trips up Becky's Bluff
- Half marathon
- 10 mile (approximate distance)
- 5K (about 3.1 miles)
The courses use a mix of wide trails and some single-track. Runners on the longer distances reach Marble Mine and the top of Becky's Bluff, then follow a short section of the Pinhoti Trail. The route includes rocky and root-strewn sections that affect footing and pace.
