Twisted Ankle Trail Race
The Twisted Ankle Trail Race takes place at Sloppy Floyd State Park near Summerville, GA on September 12, 2026. The event marks the 20th running of Becky's Bluff and 20 years of donating proceeds to the park. For 2026 only, the event includes a 20 mile distance that features two ascents of Becky's Bluff.
Course surfaces include wide trails and some single track, with routes that pass Marble Mine and a short section on the Pinhoti Trail for the longer distances. Runners should expect natural trail features such as rocks and roots on sections that reach the heart of the Twisted Ankle course.
Available distances:
- 5K (about 3.1 miles)
- 10 mile (about 10 miles)
- Half marathon (about 13.1 miles)
- 20 mile (2026 only), two climbs of Becky's Bluff
Registration for the event closes on September 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. The event materials note that the 10 mile, half marathon and 20 mile courses include the primary climbs and ridge sections associated with Becky's Bluff and the Pinhoti Trail.
