Course and logistics
The half marathon runs entirely on Berry College property with no public roads. It follows the stretch road to the mountain campus, passes Frost Chapel, the college elementary and middle school, the Old Mill, WinShape dairy barns, and uses Possum Trot Road and the Viking Trail to return to the Ford Buildings. The course is mostly paved with a short hard-packed dirt section (mile 6-7) and a short gravel section (mile 8-9). The 10K and 5K routes wind through main campus and include a short unpaved woods section on the 10K (about 25 yards).
Water stations: six on the half marathon (two also supply energy gels), three on the 10K, and two on the 5K. Packet pickup is in the Krannert Ballroom at Berry College the day before and on race morning. The half marathon has a four-hour cutoff. For safety, strollers and many wheeled or assisted devices are prohibited; wheelchair athletes cannot be accommodated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
